Columbia State is recruiting a motivated Desktop Support Technician with strong Windows and hardware skills to join our desktop support team. This position requires a proactive, self-motivated individual who can support a varied set of technology devices including pc’s (desktop and laptop), printers, and software installations, and is comfortable traveling to various locations to provide hands-on technical assistance. Lab Monitors will: Assist IT staff with managing and re-imaging pc’s, general desktop support (setups, moves), staff the helpdesk as needed, and assist users with 1st level technology issues. Responsibilities include monitoring and cleanup of pc labs, and assisting other students, staff and faculty with basic technology questions. Students will periodically check inventory and ensure computer labs are in good working order and clean. This position is designed to provide short-term support and is not intended to transition into permanent employment. Hours may vary, but will not exceed 29 hours per week.
