Instructional Faculty Position in Engineering Dartmouth Engineering seeks to fill an instructional faculty position at the assistant or associate professor level. Instructional faculty positions are non-tenure-line, promotion and sabbatical eligible positions, with a renewable 3-year term, and the option of a rolling contract upon successful review after 6 years. Instructional faculty are expected to teach 4-5 courses each year, advise students, and take on service responsibilities. While conducting scholarship is encouraged, a research program is not required. Applicants should have a doctorate in engineering or a related field and a demonstrated potential to teach a range of mechanical engineering courses. Example areas of interest include, but are not limited to, systems, solid mechanics, mechanical design, and sustainable design.
