The Art History Program in the School of Art & Design at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign invites applications for a full-time Lecturer in Early Modern European Art History (1300-1700) to a one-year, non-tenure-track faculty appointment (up to 100% time for up to 9 months). The proposed start date is August 16, 2026. Context The Art History Program consists of eight full-time tenured/tenure-track faculty members, plus affiliated faculty. Degrees offered include the B.A. and B.F.A, as well as the M.A. and Ph.D. Art History graduate courses also support graduate minors in Museum Studies and Medieval Studies. Full time, continuing position. 10 month employment and 2 month unpaid leave each year. Periodic evening and weekend work is required. Advise and oversee all aspects of undergraduate performance-based activities, in a range of venues across campus, ensuring safety throughout the process. Working in a team of Technical Directors, manage programs and facilities in order to ensure the safety of over 700 student practitioners and 25,000+ audience members annually.
