Teaching responsibilities are based on Baylor Law's curricular needs and applicant's experience; however, the primary teaching responsibility is expected to include upper-level courses in trusts and estates, wealth transfers, estate planning, marital property, and estate administration.   Research responsibilities include developing and implementing a research agenda in the individual’s area of expertise. The Faculty Appointments Committee also encourages applicants whose expertise lies in other transactional practice areas.   Position Description The Baylor University History Department seeks to fill a tenure-track faculty position in the History of Medicine at the Assistant Professor level effective August 2027. Chronology and geography open. The successful candidate will hold a doctorate in history or a related field and be able to demonstrate a research and teaching agenda appropriate for an R1 institution, as well as a willingness to participate in interdisciplinary collaboration and to seek external research funding.  Candidates who are outside the United States and do not have other nonimmigrant visa status will not be sponsored for an H-1B petition.
