The Michigan Society of Fellows invites applications to its postdoctoral fellowship program for Ph.D.s in the humanities, arts, sciences, and professions. These positions at the University of Michigan are open to recent Ph.D.s who wish to pursue research opportunities while teaching at a major research university. Fellows are appointed as Assistant Professors in appropriate departments and as Postdoctoral Scholars in the Michigan Society of Fellows for three-year terms to begin August 25, 2027. The annual stipend will be $63,000, though some departments may have the capacity to provide additional salary support to better align the fellowship compensation with postdoctoral salary norms in their discipline.   For the 2027–2030 fellowship term, the Michigan Society of Fellows will also pilot a new Arts Initiative fellowship program, supporting one additional, dedicated fellowship position in the arts. HBCU Future of Stem Scholars Initiative - Academic Careers Remote (United States)
The Future of Stem Scholars Initiative (FOSSI) The Future of STEM Scholars Initiative (FOSSI) is a program providing scholarships and professional development opportunities directed at furthering science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) education in students from underrepresented communities. If selected, the student will receive a $40,000 scholarship award. This award will be disbursed in the amount of $10,000 per year, for four (4) years, and will go directly to the institution in which the student is enrolled. Selected students will also receive internship preparation and placement, leadership training, mentoring and access to the AIChE student networking opportunities. This program is administered by HBCU Week Foundation, Inc.
