    We seek an outstanding and enthusiastic teacher and colleague with demonstrated excellence in teaching, service, and scholarly or creative work. While this is an open field competition, we especially welcome applicants with experience and interest in teaching in two or more of the following areas: Film, Media Studies, Communications Studies, Theatre, Journalism, Musicology, Creative Writing, English, and Fine Arts. The successful candidate will carry a teaching load of six courses and contribute to Corpus Christi College’s programming for the Associate of Arts degree, as well as the development of a new Bachelor of Arts degree. There may also be opportunities to teach courses for St. Mark’s College’s Bachelor of Arts in Theology and Culture program.     Corpus Christi College invites applications for a five-year full time (1.0) faculty position in History at the rank of Assistant Professor. This position is designed as a 5-year renewable appointment and will begin on August 1, 2026. Corpus Christi College does not have a tenure system, but candidates who successfully complete their first term will be considered for a continuing appointment. Candidates should have a doctoral degree in History or be close to completion at the time of appointment.
