The Department of Molecular Genetics in the Temerty Faculty of Medicine at the University of Toronto (St. George campus) invites applications for a full-time tenure stream position in the area of Virology. The appointment will be at the rank of Assistant Professor, with an anticipated start date of January 1, 2027.
Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Virology/Microbiology/Molecular Biology or a related discipline at the time of appointment, with a demonstrated record of excellence in research and teaching. Relevant postdoctoral experience or equivalent is expected. Candidates must provide strong evidence of research excellence of an internationally competitive calibre in the broad area of molecular virology or a related area as evidenced by a record of publications in leading journals in the field as well as presentations at significant conferences, the submitted research statement, accolades or awards, and strong endorsements by referees of high standing....
