Visiting Professor of Law, Legal Research and Writing Primary Purpose and Essential Functions: The Visiting Professor of Law, Legal Research and Writing position is a one (1) year appointment. The University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law invites applications from entry-level and lateral candidates for a visiting lawyering skills position limited to the 2025-26 academic year. We seek applications from exceptional candidates who have a demonstrated interest in skills teaching, and who are excited about being part of a collegial, student-oriented, committed faculty. The successful candidate will teach three (3) classes in McGeorge's Global Lawyering Skills program, which covers legal research, writing, and oral advocacy. One (1) course, GLS I, is in the students' fall semester of the first year of law school. GLS II builds on GLS I and takes place in the spring of the first year. Graduate Recruiter JD Admissions (Temporary) Primary Purpose: The Graduate Alumni Recruiter will work with the JD Admissions Office to recruit a dynamic class of law students. During the fall semester, the Graduate Alumni Recruiter will effectively and enthusiastically convey information to prospective applicants at in-person, off-campus events and limited virtual events. They may provide in-person campus tours. They will be knowledgeable and helpful in answering questions that relate to the Law School's academic programs, admission requirements, student life, and career services. In addition, they will be responsible for visiting and presenting to a variety of college-level classes and student organizations; as well as, sending follow up written correspondence with those that they speak with.
