The Department of Biomedical Informatics (DBMI) of Columbia University seeks an exceptional faculty member of any rank in the tenure track. The position is open to researchers interested in developing and applying informatics theory and achieving tangible benefits to health care and biology. Three foci are (1) machine learning for healthcare and health-related data science, (2) AI and technology-based interventions to improve health care and the health of individuals and populations, and (3) translational bioinformatics. The Columbia Climate School (CCS) invites applications for a faculty position at the rank of Lecturer in Discipline, to begin July 1, 2026. This is a full-time, non-tenure-track, renewable appointment with multi-year renewal contingent on successful reviews. Lecturers in Discipline are officers in the University who meet a programmatic need for instruction in specialized fields. The successful candidate will have a minimum of two years of teaching experience in the broad area of climate and sustainability, with expertise in one or more of the following areas: climate change mitigation, climate change adaptation, climate justice and/or climate and food systems.
