The RNA Modifications, Intellect, and NeuroDegeneration (RNA-MIND) Laboratory under the Biology Program, Division of Science, of New York University Abu Dhabi seeks to recruit a research associate/postdoctoral associate to work on projects focused on understanding RNA modification signaling pathways in the nervous system and their function in synaptic, neuronal and behavioral plasticity.
The central goal of the laboratory is to study the neural mechanisms involving dynamic RNA modifications during cognitive development and decline. To achieve this, research projects rely on the use of a combination of techniques such as rodent behavioral analysis, biochemical, molecular and cell biology, in vivo and in vitro fluorescence imaging, and next-generation sequencing.
