Event Security Officer (Temporary Employee Pool) Primary Purpose: The Event Security Officer will support the University while on foot patrol, or in a University cart. Essential Functions:
Responsible for performing security checks and crime prevention activities, controls and monitors traffic and people flow on the Pacific campus during various events and as assigned.
Provides information and direction to event guests and visitors to campus.
Advises police officers when a crime or University rules and regulations have been violated.
Conduct perimeter checks to check on lighting, open doors and windows and other possible hazards.
Prepares reports as assigned and as necessary.
Assists in performance of a variety of community relations and crime prevention activities.
Participates in public relations programs to promote better police-community relations and crime prevention.
Performs other duties as assigned or requested.
