The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust (“the Trust”) has set up the JC STEM Early Career Research Fellowship for Translation and Application (“the Fellowship”) as a strategic initiative to nurture a pool of promising STEM post-doctoral researchers who aspire to translate scientific research into industry applications.   Postdoctoral Research Associate Department of Earth, Environmental and Planetary Sciences, Brown University. We are searching for a postdoctoral research associate to join a NASA funded project. The research includes analyses of extraterrestrial samples (carbonaceous meteorites, asteroid samples) using various chromatography and mass spectrometry techniques, as well as construction of an interactive GCMS and chromatography database for organic compounds in extraterrestrial samples. A wide range of chromatography and mass spectrometry instrumentation is available for analyzing extraterrestrial organic compounds at Brown. These include GCFID, GCMS, HPLCMS, GC-isotope ratio-MS, and a newly acquired UPLC-orbitrap mass spectrometer (Thermo Exploris 240).
