Seeking a postdoctoral fellow to work in the lab of Dr. Paul Rowley.
Position Overview:
The postdoctoral fellow will work in the lab of Paul Rowley to understand the basis of resistance to antifungal “killer” toxins produced by different species of fungi. This hire will use genetics, biochemistry, microbiology, and genomic assays with the model yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae, Pichia pastoris, and non-model pathogenic and non-pathogenic yeast species to pursue these goals. This research will require leading the project with support from a technician, and graduate students.
Required Experience:
Experience with bacterial and yeast genetics and physiology
