Trial Advocacy Adjunct Professor Primary Purpose and Essential Functions: The University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law (McGeorge), invites applications for adjunct faculty in the Trial Advocacy program. Specifically, we have openings for an adjunct faculty position to teach a trial advocacy class in collaboration with two full-time faculty members, and we have openings for several mock trial coaching positions. Both the teaching position and the coaching positions are non-tenure-track positions for the 2026-2027 academic year. The Adjunct Professor of Trial Advocacy would be responsible for co-teaching a trial advocacy course which entails collaborating with two full-time trial advocacy professors, attending a lecture one evening a week, and teaching a small group section of the trial advocacy course on a separate evening. Adjunct Professor of Law, State and Federal Taxation (Temporary Employee Pool) Primary Purpose and Essential Functions: McGeorge School of Law invites applications for one (1) adjunct professor position to develop a new online course on State and Federal Taxation immediately, and to teach the course in the 2026 - 2027 academic year. This three (3) unit course will be fully online and asynchronous in delivery, and will primarily be offered as part of the Master of Science in Law, Business Law concentration. In this course students will learn about the fundamentals of personal, business, and trust & estate income tax law and tax compliance, including basis, tax consequences of property sales, alternative minimum tax, passive activity and at-risk rules, charitable contributions and deductions, tax reduction techniques, and the tax implications of special circumstances.
