The clerkship coordinator is responsible for educational program planning which includes coordinating medical student activities for the Covenant Healthcare College of Medicine at Central Michigan University for year 3 and 4 students, including two core clerkships and multiple elective rotations across a distributed clinical network of a variety of specialties at several medical sites. This position plans and coordinates the routine and ad hoc functions to the clerkship curriculum, including didactics, clinical schedules, faculty recruitment and assignments, along with student orientations and assessment. The coordinator works with the manager of distributed clinical education and serves as the primary point of contact for rotating students, as well as clerkship faculty.
