Medical Assistant (Temporary) Primary Purpose: The Medical Assistant (Temporary/Casual) is responsible for assisting students and staff in all clinical and administrative support for patient care and treatment. The essential functions listed below are intended to identify those that are generally assigned. The Medical Assistant may perform many if not all functions, and in addition, other responsibilities may be assigned that are unit specific and based on business need and scope of care of the Medical Assistant. This position will be in the Sacramento Clinic but may be required to travel to Stockton and San Francisco clinics under certain circumstances. Essential Functions: Performs basic clinical duties as assigned and which are within the scope of his/her practice and experience:
Obtains vital signs inputs into Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
Prepares patients for examination
Assists a provider with medical procedures
