Our lab uses C. elegans and mammalian cell culture models to investigate the molecular basis of neurodevelopmental disorders and the roles of primary cilia in neuronal development. The successful candidate will learn and implement basic molecular biology techniques (e.g. molecular cloning and CRISPR-Cas9 gene editing), cell culture, immunofluorescence, and microscopy as well as contribute to smooth day to day lab operations by maintaining databases of lab reagents, preparing common buffers, and training undergraduate students in basic lab techniques.
