This position helps ensure a safe campus environment and supports the life safety needs of campus building users by maintaining and repairing safety systems such as emergency egress lighting and fire suppression equipment. This is an essential position that will be called upon in the event of an emergency and/or university closure. Duties may include:
Inspect and test life safety systems and associated equipment
Receive and respond to state-issued safety discrepancy notices
Support the fire suppression systems and manage the life safety equipment maintenance program and associated equipment
Conduct area and equipment surveys
Initiate service requests for needed repairs
Collect and maintain records
Other duties as assigned...
