The Center for Smart Engineering Materials (CSEM), New York University Abu Dhabi,seeks to recruit a post-doctoral associate to work on the development, characterization, and applications of novel self- sensing concrete with a dual capability of self healing through the integration of smart technologies.
The successful applicant will work on four main areas leading to the success of this fascinating project:
To design and assess the performance of self-sensing cementitious materials endowed with high sensitivity, resistance to temperature, and durability under the highly basic environment of concrete.
To develop structural-health-monitoring networks specifically directed toward the oil and gas industry.
