MFA Teaching Fellow Job Title: Teaching Fellow Department: MFA Program / Academic Writing program Reports to: Program Director Effective Date: Fall 2026 # of Direct Reports: 0 # of People Supported: 0 Job Description: As part of Manhattanville University's Teaching Pathway, a initiative of the MFA in Creative Writing Program, Teaching Fellows spend three years training to teach and gaining experience as the instructor of record in undergraduate-level Academic Writing Classes. During their first year, Fellows train under the guidance of the Academic Writing program to teach Academic Writing courses. Following an evaluation process during the first year, Fellows then move on to teach one section of College Writing I or College Writing II per semester during their second and third years in the Teaching Pathway.
