The Quantitative Synthetic Biology group ( https://netb.io/ ) at New York University Abu Dhabi seeks highly motivated and collaborative applicants to fill a Research Associate position in synthetic biology. Projects will target various sources of context-dependence in synthetic biology, such as metabolic burden due to the competition of shared DNA replication and transcriptional/translational resources. As a representative example, a project may focus on how the behavior of common modules (e.g., toggle switch) is impacted by perturbations in the expression profiles of other genes, redistributing the common pool of scarce resources. Interested applicants are expected to lead the experimental efforts, though they are also welcome to get involved with modeling aspects of these projects....
