In compliance with SB 1162, Western University of Health Sciences is providing a pay scale for this position. The pay scale reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position. Within this range, the individual pay is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training, and work location. Please note that the compensation details listed reflects the base salary only.
Expected Pay Scale
Minimum: $110,000.00 Annually
Maximum $133,000.00 Annually
Job Summary
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Good verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to effectively interact with health care professionals and patients.
- Must have working knowledge of common desktop computer software, including basic familiarity with Electronic Medical Record and tablet based health record systems and have a general knowledge of audio-video recording systems.
- Must be able to function independently, make sound judgment calls, and be able to practice within the full scope of the Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner License
- Demonstrate a commitment to working in an organization that values and promotes humanism.
Required Qualifications
- (Physician Assistant) Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program or (Nurse Practitioner) FNP and National Certification required.
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in healthcare delivery.
Licensure:
- (Physician Assistant) California Physician Assistant License and NCCPA Certification required or (Nurse Practitioner) FNP and National Certification required.
Health Clearance:
- Must submit all required health related documents prior to employment. May be required to maintain annual records for items such as TB clearance.
Background Check:
- A background check may be initiated that may include criminal, employment, and educational, history.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) candidates will be given strong preference.
