The Department of Physics and Astronomy (DPA) at the University of Mississippi is located in Lewis Hall on the Oxford campus adjacent to the historic small town of Oxford, MS. The DPA currently has 15 full-time faculty who teach a variety of undergraduate and graduate courses. Members of the faculty carry out research in areas of condensed matter, gravitational and high energy physics and physical acoustics in cutting-edge facilities on campus and around the world. Student in the DPA work and interact with this group of dedicated scholars in experimental and theoretical physics.
