Cuesta College is accredited by the Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges (ACCJC) of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges, an institutional accrediting body recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation and by the U.S. Department of Education. Last granted a six-year accreditation in 2014, this page has all of the documents pertaining to the ongoing accreditation process.
On April 16, 1963, San Luis Obispo County voters approved the formation of a countywide junior college district. In 1964, Cuesta College opened its doors to students in old army barracks. Much has occurred over its more than 50-year history. Read all about it here.
