Magee-Womens Research Institute

Magee-Womens Research Institute (MWRI) is home to University of Pittsburgh scientists engaged in research in reproductive biology and women’s health. Unique to MWRI is the multidimensionality of its reproductive biology research, spanning approaches from molecular biology to epidemiology and community outreach, research systems from worms to humans, and processes from early embryonic development to reproductive aging. MWRI's researchers use diverse basic, translational, and clinical investigative tools that support our central mission to: Advance knowledge in the field of reproductive biology and medicine, translate discoveries into improved health for women and their infants, train current and future scholars in the reproductive sciences, and foster community investment and involvement in women’s health research.
