Established as a normal school in 1934, ENMU is the largest regional comprehensive university in New Mexico with a rich tradition of preparing future educators. Eastern New Mexico University is accredited by the HLC, and is a federally-designated Hispanic Serving Institution serving a diverse enrollment of more than 5,700 undergraduate and graduate students. The CET encompasses the departments of Curriculum and Instruction; Educational Studies; and Agriculture, Food Science and Kinesiology. The college consists of 37 full-time faculty and approx. 550 undergraduate and 500 graduate students. The CET engages well-qualified and caring faculty and staff who work together to accomplish University goals and mentor students through excellent teaching and active learning.
