The candidate should have a distinguished academic and/or professional record and be prepared to bring fresh perspectives to the art and future of animation in the feature film and television industries as well as experimental or short-format independent work. The UCLA Animation Workshop boasts industry-experienced, award-winning roster faculty, lecturers and alumni who work with students in an “up close and personal” setting with a small number of accepted MFA students in each class, and promotes the philosophy of “one person, one film”.
