In January 2006, the CSU Board of Trustees approved the naming of the Martin V. Smith School of Business & Economics (MVS School) in recognition of a transformational gift from Martin V. “Bud” and Martha K. Smith. As part of this gift, the University built the Martin V. In addition, these academic programs offer additional minors and options across the various areas of business (e.g., finance, marketing, and management).
Mission Statement: To cultivate a learning environment that fosters excellence in Business and Economics education to prepare students to effectively engage with the ever-changing dynamics of organizational landscapes and develop lifelong learners who remain committed to giving back to their communities.
Vision Statement: The MVS School aspires to be nationally recognized as a leader in providing high-quality Business & Economics education and research that positively impacts business and society.
