The Department of Journalism seeks applicants for a specialized (non-tenure track) position at the rank of Lecturer to lead our core courses in reporting and news writing, and to teach elective courses in one or more of the following specialties: sports, community, long-form or science and technology reporting. In addition to classroom teaching, specialized faculty members also work with master’s students in Journalism’s M.S. program, mentor undergraduate students, and participate in department, college and campus service activities and shared governance. Specialized faculty members also are encouraged to continue to produce their own professional work.
