Professor (all ranks) in Quantum-enabled applications via next generation materials The Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering (FSE) at Arizona State University (ASU) and the School for Engineering of Matter, Transport and Energy seek applicants for tenure-track/tenured faculty positions with emphasis in the applications of quantum materials and quantum bio-materials. Appointment will be at the assistant, associate, or full professor rank commensurate with the candidate's experience and accomplishments, beginning August 2020. Although appointments may be in any of Fulton Engineering's six schools, the School for Engineering of Matter, Transport and Energy is the intended home for these candidates in order to become key contributors to our ongoing efforts in transformative quantum applications. Specific areas of expertise and interest include, but are not limited to, organic and inorganic quantum materials, hybrid quantum systems, quantum engineering, and quantum biology. Example application areas include, but are not limited to, single photon emitters, quantum bio-sensing, novel quantum photonics approaches, and other emerging applications only made possible by next generation quantum materials. Arizona State University has a strong quantum materials synthesis and characterization community and we seek applicants who will contribute to our community and will leverage investments by the university in promoting interdisciplinary research. Faculty members are expected to develop an internationally recognized and externally funded research program, teach undergraduate and graduate courses, mentor undergraduate and graduate students, foster and contribute to inclusive work environment, and undertake service activities.
