The Stanford Graduate School of Education (GSE) seeks to fill a faculty position in Teacher Education at the associate or full professor rank. We welcome applications from established scholars with distinction and an active and rigorous research agenda in the field of teacher education, broadly conceived. Candidates’ research and practice should address issues of teaching and teacher education. Engagement in teacher education policy is desirable. The successful candidate will be expected to play a leadership role in Stanford’s Teacher Education Program (STEP) in close collaboration with STEP’s senior leadership team, among other contributions to the GSE including teaching and advising at the masters and doctoral levels. The Stanford Graduate School of Education seeks a faculty member at the assistant or associate professor level whose research focuses on developing, testing, and studying interventions that support young children’s learning and development. We are particularly interested in scholars who conduct theoretically grounded research in applied settings — including homes, schools, early childhood programs, and community contexts — to identify mechanisms of learning and developmental change, evaluate intervention effectiveness, and examine the conditions that support successful implementation. This work may draw on implementation science to inform the development, adaptation, and delivery of scalable interventions and enrich developmental science.
