Chief Purpose of this Position: This tenure eligible position will provide oversight and conduct of funded research in the drug abuse field, using classical or modern neuroscience, molecular or behavioral techniques. The position will also support the department with teaching and service-related responsibilities appropriate to the incumbent’s rank. Position Responsibilities: Teaching Faculty member is expected to provide high quality instruction to graduate and professional school students, and to develop new courses as necessary, based on department needs. Research Faculty member must lead a nationally recognized and well-funded research program with a record of publication in refereed journals. The position will be expected to develop or expand interdisciplinary collaborations to enhance the drug abuse studies research program in the department. In addition, the incumbent will mentor graduate and professional students in the research laboratory. Service Faculty member will be expected to provide high quality service to the department, school, university and professional community, by serving on committees, as a reviewer, as a scientific society officer, etc.
