    The English Department at Mount St. Mary’s University invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor position in creative writing, to begin August 2025.   Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  The successful candidate must be prepared to teach introductory and advanced creative writing classes. Teaching responsibilities will also include courses that contribute to our common liberal arts curriculum, specifically in first-year writing courses and in America in the World, an interdisciplinary class combining American literature and history. Mount St. Mary’s has a 3/4 teaching load, which will be reduced to 3/3 for directing the student literary magazine, Lighted Corners.
