The Department of Music & Musical Theatre at   SUNY   Geneseo is seeking applicants for a tenure track Assistant Professor in Music with a specialty in Musicology or Music History to begin August 2025. The department offers a BA in Music with four different tracks (Performance, Musicology/HiTEC; Jazz and American Music Studies; and Music Business, Recording and Production) as well as a BA and   BFA   in Musical Theatre. Duties Include: Teaching three courses per semester, including: at least one general education course per year; one section of the college’s first-year writing course per year; introductory and upper-level courses for majors and minors in both western classical music and popular music.
