The Peer Educator is part of the College's Sexual Assault Violence Education (SAVE) Project, mobilizing others to create a campus culture of helping, sexual respect, support, safety, compassion, understanding, and healthy patterns. Commitment through December 2021 is required with the possibility of extension into 2022 contingent on grant funding. Duties include, but are not limited to: participating in biweekly meetings, practicing active listening and presentation skills, facilitating discussions during presentations, referring peers to appropriate resources as needed, helping to develop additional presentation opportunities, completing reflective journaling exercises to monitor personal growth, managing social media and creating content for Instagram, completing program assessments to determine the effectiveness of the program, and other duties as assigned by supervisor.
