Position Summary The Dean of Natural and Physical Sciences, Business, Technology, Engineering and Math reports to the Vice President of Academic Affairs at Baltimore City Community College. The Dean will be responsible for the realignment and growth of the current School of Business, Science, Technology, Engineering and Math. As part of the realignment the Dean will work collaboratively to create pathways between workforce and the academy. The Dean is responsible for leadership, curriculum, assessment, program development, scheduling, personnel management, and financial accountability for the academic areas within the Division. Program Overview The BCCC Construction program for Industrial Maintenance Mechanics (IMM) includes virtual and in person instruction using National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) curriculum. Instruction is aligned to national standards for maintenance mechanics on the operation of machinery and mechanical equipment in industrial and commercial settings. This program covers the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for maintenance mechanics, including completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pumps and related building machines based on engineering specifications for equipment. Students learn blueprint reading and troubleshooting with a focus on monitoring and repair of building systems such as boilers, air conditioning and refrigeration equipment. Overview of position: Leading High School Students in the design, and hands-on construction of robotics, as well as creating the manufacturing tools and processes that will build the robots.  Lead program curriculum, sessions, and lessons focused on engineering and technology. Assist in student recruitment and selection. Maintain laboratories, supplies and equipment. Remain knowledgeable about the College, its structure, culture, policies, practices, and the Commercial Vehicle Training program. Serve as an advocate for the College and its students, as required.
