Job Description:
The Payroll Benefits Specialist performs tasks and assignments related to premiums and invoice reconciliation of employee benefits and services offered to full and part-time employees. This position audits processed benefit premiums including, inputting data for various actions affecting pay and benefits ranging from optional deductions, major benefits, and open enrollment transactions; audits monthly premium statements for the College’s insurance policies; and maintains time off balance adjustments and leave payouts. The Payroll Benefits Specialist works with the College Human Resources Department to ensure accurate reporting of benefits to vendors. It is essential the selected candidate possess an understanding of the HIPAA federal law and apply it to work processes, as well as possess advanced mathematical skills for addition, subtraction, fraction, percentages, and balancing numbers and strong excel skills.
