Each successful candidate will contribute to the Games and Interactive Media mission by teaching upper-division undergraduate courses in game or web programming. Based on the current workload policy, the teaching load for each position will be four courses per semester.   Instructor or Lecturer, Film and Mass Media   The Nicholson School of Communication and Media (NSCM) in the College of Sciences at the University of Central Florida (UCF) invites applications for two instructor or lecturer positions in the Film and Mass Media program. These are nine-month, non-tenure-track appointments. These positions are anticipated to begin in August 2023.   Each successful candidate will contribute to the Film and Mass Media program's mission by teaching undergraduate at-level courses and, depending on the highest degree attained, may also teach at the graduate level. Graduate-level activities (if appropriate) will also include supporting the MFA degree by providing critiques, mentoring, and serving on graduate thesis committees. The teaching load for each position will be four courses per semester, as well as participation in school and university service, including committee work.      

  Assistant Professor of Communication with an Emphasis in Strategic Communication   The Nicholson School of Communication and Media (NSCM) in the College of Sciences at the University of Central Florida (UCF) invites applications for a nine-month, tenure-earning assistant professor with an emphasis in Strategic Communication. This position is anticipated to begin in August 2023.   The successful candidate will contribute to the mission of the Communication program by teaching at the graduate and undergraduate levels and providing service in one or more of NSCM’s undergraduate programs in Human Communication and/or Advertising/Public Relations. The teaching load will be two courses per semester, and participate in school and university service, including committee work.
