Governors State University (University Park, IL) is inviting applications for a full time, non-tenure track Visiting Assistant Professor in Anthropology, to begin in the Fall 2023 semester. This position is a 12-month contract with a teaching load of 27 credit hours (9 courses) over Fall 2023, Spring 2024, and Summer 2024. This is a one-year appointment with the possibility of renewal for one additional year. The ideal candidate has outstanding teaching skills, evidence of—or potential for—a prominent record of scholarship, as well as service to the institution, discipline, and/or community.
