NW5C Coordinator, Community-Engaged Learning
The Northwest Five Consortium of Liberal Arts Colleges (NW5C), funded by the A.W. Mellon Foundation and comprising Lewis and Clark College, Reed College, Whitman College, Willamette University, and University of Puget Sound, announces the four-year, grant-funded position of NW5C Coordinator of Community Engagement, to be housed at Whitman College.
The NW5C Coordinator will support the goal of the NW5C's program, which is to utilize the humanities to build capacity for meaningful, relevant community-engaged learning, in collaboration with local community partners and fellow consortium members.
The NW5C Coordinator will be responsible for supporting the work of the Community-Engaged Learning Project Committee, which is headed by 5 faculty liaisons (one per campus).
The NW5C Coordinator will report to the NW5C CEL Learning Project Committee, with direct supervision from the Associate Dean for Faculty Development at Whitman College.
The ideal candidate will have experience and competency working with diverse constituencies and will be able to work intentionally and meaningfully to build reciprocal relationships with community partners.
A background in program development and management, excellent communication and organizational skills, and a demonstrated ability to successfully execute projects while working under limited supervision is required. Familiarity with higher education and/or experience working with community engagement is highly desirable.

Four-year college degree or equivalent professional experience.
