Job Title: Research Assistant I - Integrative Biology Laboratory, Dr. Edward Stites

Position Description:

The Research Assistant I will perform molecular biology protocols, experimental cell biology protocols, and assist with lab duties. The lab focuses upon studying cellular signaling networks important to cancer and human disease.


Education:

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in biological sciences.


Experience:

Required:

  • Experience with cell culture, transfection, western blotting, plasmid preparation and purification within a research laboratory setting.


Special Requirements:

  • Must be willing to work an adjusted schedule when necessary to support research needs.
  • Must be willing to work in an animal-related research environment.
  • Must be willing to sign a confidentiality agreement.
  • Successful completion of the Institute’s background investigation.


Physical Requirements:

This position requires constant touching/feeling, handling, calculating, reasoning, analyzing and working inside.
