The Director of Counseling and Wellness is responsible for overseeing all administrative, clinical and educational aspects of the Counseling and Wellness Center along with providing mental health care to students and consultative services to the campus community. This oversight includes the planning, development, and evaluation of both group and individual counseling services for all enrolled students in order to ensure consistent high-quality care based upon professional best practices and research. The director provides vision, strategic planning, and assessment for the center to advance department goals and University strategic plan. The Director has supervisory oversight of statutory responsibility for compliance with immunization requirements. In addition, the Director manages the contractual relationship with the third party clinical agency (currently Advocate Health Care) who provides clinical care for the campus community. This oversight includes serving as liaison to vendor personnel, convening meetings to ensure the efficient and effective operation of clinical care, and engagement with the community to provide wellness programming in collaboration with the vendor and/or other partners.
