Job Summary
The Multimedia Specialist performs highly technical work related to the coordination, set up, production, and delivery of live broadcasts to campus and external constituents such as ESPN+; and produces live television shows including coordination, editing, filming and handling of all producing media elements for academic and sports related projects.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoots audio/visual and other media content.
  • Provides creative producing lead to high quality and compelling content, working closely with University staff across many departments to creatively target messages for specific educational audiences and outcomes while focusing on each organization's overall goals and brand.
  • Performs basic technical maintenance of video production equipment and facilities; and maintains the asset management system for the video archive.
  • Allocates video production assets, including hardware, software, studio, and other resources used for designing and implementing television and internet delivery of live and on demand content.
  • Provides onsite support on evenings and weekends.
  • Serves as lead producer for academic and sports projects including longform television and packages for ESPN+ and ESPNU.
  • Performs related duties as assigned to support the mission of the University.


Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree


Required Experience

  • Two (2) or more years of related work experience


Preferred Qualifications
Preferred Education

  • Master's degree



Preferred Experience

  • Proficient with video production for live events, producing television including longform series productions
  • Experience with Adobe editing software, ENG style camera filming and packaging.
  • Previous network or broadcasting experience on regional or national level.




Proposed Salary
$33,300 - $39,000
