 The UPMC Hillman Cancer Center, celebrating its 34th year as a leading center for cancer research, is recruiting outstanding faculty as a Research Instructor to join established program in Radiation Oncology, with a focus on gene expression, molecular interactions of genes and gene function.

Successful candidates will have an exceptional scientific research record and will join in non-tenure Research Instructor position commensurate with prior training and experience.

Candidates must hold either a PhD, MD or MD/PhD degree.

The candidate will be provided a competitive salary and will work within the state-of-the-art Hillman Cancer Center.

 Located in the city of Pittsburgh (routinely ranked as one of the top most livable and affordable U.S. cities), Hillman (previously known as the University of Pittsburgh Cancer Institute) is an NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center with 280 members; 7 research programs in basic, translational, clinical, and population sciences; 10 shared resources that receive funding from our NCI Cancer Center Support Grant; and an FY19 institutional funding base of nearly $150 million. In FY19, the University of Pittsburgh ranked #4 in overall NIH funding.  Hillman Cancer Center serves a catchment area of 29 Western Pennsylvania counties and provides unique opportunities to collaborate with clinical and translational research programs involved in cancer patient care.
