This position at the University of Pittsburgh's Department of Sports Medicine and Nutrition is a 10-month appointment at the rank of Associate or Professor in the tenure stream. This position will involve conducting applied research at the Neuromuscular Research Laboratory (NMRL)/Warrior Human Performance Research Center (WHPRC).
Consideration for rank will be determined based on the successful candidate's established scholarly and academic accomplishments and prominence.
Areas of research should be consistent with the mission of the department and the NMRL/WHPRC, which is to mitigate musculoskeletal injuries and optimize human performance by conducting innovative, multi-disciplinary, basic and applied research providing evidence and translating scientific knowledge to enhance clinical decisions and education.
The laboratory has a specific focus on Department of Defense and military human performance optimization, as well as injury prevention research in active and athletic populations.
