Job Title: Research Assistant II/III - Integrative Biology Laboratory, Dr. Edward Stites

Position Description:

The laboratory studies the molecular networks that play important roles in cancer and human disease. The laboratory has a diverse set of research programs that have been catalyzed by computational analyses of biological systems. The laboratory is looking for one (or more) part-time Research Assistants who have the ability to work independently and perform rigorous and reproducible experiments that can test these hypotheses. A Research Assistant II needs to have prior experience designing and trouble-shooting experiments successfully. Additionally, the candidate will have strong experience in at least one of the following areas:

    a) Cell signaling
    b) Cancer cell biology
    c) Protein biochemistry
    d) Mouse models of cancer



  • Bachelor's degree in biological sciences or related field.


  • PhD or ability to work at a similar level in terms of independence and quality of work.



  • A minimum of 2-4 years of experience in a research laboratory
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to design experiments
  • Ability to trouble shoot experiments
  • Ability to interpret data


  • A minimum of 4-7 years of experience in a research laboratory

Special Requirements:

  • Must be willing to work in an animal-related research environment.
  • Must be willing to work with human cells and complete all appropriate associated training.
  • Must be willing to work independently and must have a flexible schedule to support research needs.
  • Successful completion of the Institute’s background investigation.

Physical Requirements:

This position requires constant adjusting focus, seeing, sitting and working inside.
