Trent University invites applications for a tenure track faculty position in Human Resource Management in the School of Business at the rank of Assistant Professor to start July 1, 2024. This position is located at Trent’s Peterborough Campus and is subject to budgetary approval.

The School of Business offers research informed, pedagogically innovative and community engaged undergraduate and graduate programs in Trent’s faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. The successful candidate will contribute to the School’s areas of areas of strength in Human Resource Management, both in our undergraduate specialization in HRM and in our Master of Management program. Candidates must have a Ph.D. (or be close to completion by the date of appointment) in the field of Human Resource Management. The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience and potential for excellence in research, teaching and service commensurate with the Assistant Professor rank. Responsibilities will include contributing to curriculum development and course delivery in the School of Business and developing and expanding a high quality externally funded research program, including grants from Canada’s federal funding agencies (CIHR, NSERC, SSHRC). The successful candidate will have the opportunity to teach courses at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, and to develop new courses in their area of area of focus.
