Position Summary
Horizons Enrichment Center - Support Staff / Driver
Sponsored by Dept. of Child and Family Studies, Southeast Missouri State University
Temporary Position
Primary Responsibilities
- Drive assigned van route - daily
- Assist with group activities as needed
- Assist with toileting of adults
- Assist with picking up lunches and kitchen clean up
- Assist with daily activities and community integration trips
- Responsible for daily cleaning of equipment used in classroom
- Maintain a positive relationship with participants, their caregivers, and all family members
- Comply with all state licensure requirements
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Hold current chauffeur's license
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Demonstrated experience and understanding of customer service
- Demonstrated commitment to a diverse work environment, including working with multi-cultural populations and an understanding of, and sensitivity to, issues affecting women and minorities
