Job Description

The ERP Technical Lead, under direction, provides advanced functional support for the EIS Student Information System. Works with project team members to maintain and support the installed system. Completes reports and summarizes results to management and users in the form of project status reports, problem reports, and progress summaries.

  • Provides oversight for the functional configuration of the ERP System.
  • Performs and provides oversight for application testing. Designs ERP security in conjunction with the home department.
  • Works with technical analyses and developers to define and/or write programming requirements.
  • Ensures test plans have been developed and implemented prior to upgrades and other releases.
  • Provides oversight of development of end user training materials.
  • Interacts with functional home at Prairie View A&M University (PVAMU) to facilitate business process changes.
  • Ensures that departmental requirements are met. Collaborates with internal organizations, external organizations, and vendors.
  • Provides reports, summaries, and schedules for management, vendors, and other functional teams.
  • Supervises employees and coaches project team employees.
  • Facilitates the professional development of functional team employees.
  • Monitors work of functional team employees to ensure project deliverables are met. Performs duties of a Functional Analyst as needed.
  • Participates in training and professional development sessions.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in applicable field
  • Five years of related experience with business processes.

  • Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.
  • Knowledge of higher education student information system business processes and University operations.
  • Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
  • Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, organizational, interpersonal, and written communication skills.
