Department of Mechanical Engineering. The Laboratory Supervisor provides electro-mechanical support and services in selecting, purchasing, setting up, operating, maintaining, day-to-day upkeep, and removal of all technical equipment in support of the department's teaching, research, and service goals; maintains clean, safe, and functional Mechanical Engineering Laboratories and Shop spaces; provides machining, fabrication, and electro-mechanical support of academic and research projects; supports instructional activities in department laboratory and shop spaces; participates in department purchasing and acquisition activities.

Minimum Experience Required:
Three or more years of related work experience; supervisory experience

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Effective communication skills (verbal and written); developed organization and human relations skills; ability to work well in a diverse environment; proficiency with computer and Microsoft Office applications software including word processing, spreadsheets, and databases; legally authorized to work in the United States; and successful completion of background investigation prior to employment
Master’s Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Science, or equivalent field
Three or more years of relevant experience as a machinist, mechanical technician, electrical technician, or electro-mechanical system technician, engineer or similar
Salary Range: $56,300 - $57,887
